Vishnuvardhan and Ajith to team up to work in Billa 2 (2011)

Now the latest news is that Vishnuvardhan is all set to partner again with Ajith for the sequel on Billa. Sources confirm that Vishnu is ready with the script and is waiting for confirmation of dates from Ajith.

It is confirmed that the shooting of Billa 2 will commence from early 2011. Whether Ajith will start Billa 2 after his next with Venkat Prabhu is still not known. We will have more news on this soon.

Director Vishnuvardhan’s association with Ajith in Billa proved out to be highly successful in 2007. Billa proved to be a landmark movie in Tamil cinema for its stylish looks and action sequences.

Actor Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in Mirchi Music Awards South 2009

The Mirchi Music Awards South 2009 was held on Saturday, 17th July 2010 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium was a grand affair with Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, singers Chitra, Haricharan, Ranjith, Tippu, K.J. Jesudass and his wife, Vijay Jesudass and his wife. And music director Harris Jeyaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja, Vijay Anthony, stars Kavya Madhavan, Prasanna, Siddarth, S.Ve. Shekher, Parthiban, directors Hari with his wife, Dharani, Linguswamy, Alibaba Krishna, and Adhithiyan among others gracing the occasion. The Mirchi Music Awards South 2009 event was hosted by actor and RJ Siva and director Venkat Prabhu.


The Mirchi Music Awards South 2009 album of the year was Ayan and the best female vocalist award went to Jankai Iyer for Azhagaai Pookkuthey from Ninaithale Inikkum. The award for best lyricist and best music composer went to Na Muthukumar and Yuvan Shankar Raja respectively for Oru Kal from Siva Manasula Sakthi. The best male vocalist award was bagged by Madhu Balakrishnan for his soulful rendition of Pichai Paathiram from Naan Kadavul.

AJITH’S NEXT PROJECT FINALLY CONFIRMED WITH VENKAT PRABHU

The movie’s kick off with pooja will be held after the inauspicious Tamil month of Aadi is over. Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine will produce this one and superstar Rajinikanth is expected to attend the grand launch event.

Venkat Prabhu – Ajith project is titled Mangatha, but it’s also being said that the combination is likely to change. After all Anushka is expected to play Ajith’s lead in this film. It’s also reported that Mohanbabu’s son Manoj Manchu and Nagarjuna might play significant roles.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 52nd film Velayudham launched function

Ilayathalapathy  Vijay’s 52nd film Velayudham was launched in a grand event at the Madras University Hall today. Velayudham is directed by Jayam Raja and produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Around 50,000 diehard fans of Vijay turned up for the event. Vijay Anthony is the music director.

The pooja and kick off event of Vijay’s Velayudham, held today, was as much as a family event as it was a fan event. Fans from 30 districts in Tamil Nadu thronged the Madras University Centenary Hall in Chepauk to get a glimpse of Vijay and to participate in the commencement of the movie. Fans, who were selected to attend the event, received a gift hamper with a Velayudham Tshirt. They were also served with Biriyani and refreshments to go along with it.

Vijay was all praise for producer Aascar Ravichandran and revealed that it was Ravi’s idea to have fans participate in the pooja of Velayudham.
