Sun TV Network has appointed Ajay Vidyasagar as CEO

suntvAjay Vidyasagar was the President of STAR India. Ajay Vidyasagar played a key leadership role in Star television broadcasting business while aggressively working to develop new initiatives. He has over twenty years experience in brand management, content creation, the company said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.

He has been responsible for numerous new initiatives that include affiliate relationships with brands like Disney and Hungama, merchandising and interactive media business.

Sun TV Network said it has appointed Ajay Vidyasagar as Chief Operating Officer of the company with immediate effect.

Sun TV Network, a leading television broadcaster in the country, operates 20 satellite television channels across four languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Currently, it airs 42 FM radio stations across the country.

Manchester United has always denied that such a deal existed. It wouldn’t have been too good to refuse last summer, but another year into a contract that ends in 2012 means that Ronaldo’s value will have fallen. The perception is that even such a great player will not be able to repeat his performances between 2006 and 2008 and he was not quite as effective last season.

Ronaldo has also indicated that he has wanted to join Real in three of the past four seasons. In explaining their decision to sell, United will probably portray him as wanting to leave the club rather than that they wanted to sell him.

The club’s annual net transfer spend is £25 million so in theory this will be boosted to £105 million. However, it is not that simple. We don’t know if the fee will have certain conditions attached. It could be that United have to spread the money over four or five years.

United’s problem is that they will have to replace Ronaldo with not one but two new players: a brilliant winger and a prolific goalscorer. United might consider are Valencia’s David Villa and Karim Benzema, the Lyons striker.

It is unlikely that Ronaldo’s move would mean that United will sign Carlos Tevez permanently as the club.

Akshay: Sharing space with Sylvester is memorable one

kambakkht-ishqAkshay feels that the presence of Hollywood biggies in the film is not a publicity stunt but the need of the script. It was a meeting of equals, when action hero Akshay Kumar shared screen space with Hollywood muscle man Sylvester Stallone in the upcoming movie ‘Kambakkht Ishq’.

Akshay told that Sharing space with Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone in the film was the most memorable experience.

Akshay said that he told me about his knee problems and how he overcame his fear with heights to act in the movie ‘Cliffhanger’, Akshay, who plays a stuntman in the movie that stars the likes of Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh and Holly Valance in important cameos. He said that the presence of these actors is essential. They are needed to take my character forward in the film.

Recounting his near fatal encounter while shooting for his film Blue the actor said ,I performed stunt sequences 150-feet under sea to fight with 40 sharks. I hit an iron rod and started bleeding in the head. But, I was taken up on the ship within 20 seconds and provided treatment.

Google launched Google Squared in Labs

 

google-squaredGoogle, the king of Internet search has rolled out an experimental new search product called Google Squared in attempt to generate structured results.

Google has made it clear that Squared is still in pretty early stages. The logo has a nice big Labs title slapped on it, complete with green beaker. Here there is no question that Google doesn’t think this product is ready for prime time. It’s just opening up the lab so we can get used to it

On Wednesday blog post, Google said that Google Squared could be useful when a user needs to make multiple searches to find the information they want.

Google Squared does not provide a list of links to Web pages, like with a traditional Google search, but presents information derived from a query in a spreadsheet-like grid called a square.

Gmail New Feature – Inbox Preview

GOOGLE has come out with a new Gmail Lab feature yet again. This time, By enabling this Lab will allow us to preview our Gmail inbox even before it finished loading so that we will know if there is new email for us. If there isn’t, we could just close the window.

 

This feature is great for people who are accessing the internet on a slow connection. Admit it, even on broadband connection, loading the full view of Gmail inbox could take longer than necessary. Isn’t it frustrating to discover NO email waiting for us after sitting for long minutes waiting for the inbox to finish loading?
