Zylog Systems Launches WI-FI in chennai (India)

zylog-wifiWow!! WI-FI in chennai (India). Zylog Systems India Ltd, a developer of software solutions, has forayed into ISP (internet service provider) business with the launch of Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) enabled broadband services here in chennai.

The company has kicked off its Wi-Fi service under the brand Wi5 in select areas of the city : Adyar, Besant Nagar and T Nagar and would expand its services covering entire metro in the next 15 months. As a trial run, the company has implemented Wi-Fi access for broadband services in Ripon Buildings.  Zylog has obtained a category ‘A’ ISP license to operate in all of India’s telecom circles and plans to enter other metros in the near future.

Ramanujan Sesharathnam, managing director of Zylog Systems India Ltd Said that the company expects a revenue of Rs 500 crore in the next five years through the Wi-Fi business. Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, he informed the company has adopted a mesh network architecture which it believed would provide high mobility, speed and security. Wi-Fi nodes would be set up on the roof tops in select buildings across city and customers with a Wi-Fi enabled lap tops or PCs could access the prepaid internet service.

The overall Indian Wi-Fi market was predicted to grow from the current $41.57 million to exceed $744 million by 2012, at a CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of 61 per cent over the next three years.

Burevi Cyclone Updates Today

Cyclone Burevi Warning for South TN & South Kerala coasts, ‘Burevi’ over South west Bay of Bengal to cross Sri Lanka coast on Dec 2nd evening/night.

To emerge into Gulf of Mannar on 3rd. To cross south TN coast between Kanniyakumari and Pamban.

The IMD Met department has forecast that Cyclone Burevi will cross between Kanyakumari and Pamban as a cyclonic storm (wind speed 78 to 80 km/hour, gusting to 100 km/hour) during the afternoon hours of Friday.

By Wednesday evening, the cyclone will intensify. As a cyclonic storm, Burevi is expected to first cross the Sri Lankan coast near Trincomalee some time during late Wednesday evening or night. Thereafter, it will trace a west-northwestwards track, reach Gulf of Mannar and inch closer to Indian mainland’s southernmost tip.

Zylog would do even better if it sorted out its UK operation which seems to run by Chandramouly Venkataraman this guy was responsible for the purchase of Anodas £1.6m (Insurance) who hired a salesman who knew the market and discovered the Phoenix product was last sold 4 years ago and that the leading consulting company responsible for 80% of the UK tenders had written them off as a waste of space.

    The salesman was of course fired when he reported the information back and lost £40k in commissions + he has never been paid for his notice period.

    It is unlikely that Anodas will sell anymore systems until Zylog totally end its association with Chandramouly Venkataraman
