Recently Director Selva has wished to do Aayirathil Oruvan 2 with Dhanush. Director Selvaraghavan said that if his brother can give him bulk dates, the project will begin soon. Director Selvaraghavan has said that he has plans to do a sequel to Aayirathil Oruvan with Dhanush. This project will be produced by their father, Kasthuri Raja.
Aayirathil Oruvan 2 will chronicle the adventures of this prince and Dhanush will be doing this role.

Rajinikanth Next movie is Kochadaiyaan Not rana
Superstar Rajinikanth recently announced his Next movie is Kochadaiyaan Not rana. Kochadaiyaan will be a 3D film for which the performance capturing technology is to be used. Film name Kochadaiyaan is one of the names of Lord Shiva.
The film Kochadaiyaan is aimed for a August 2012 release and after it is wrapped up, Rajinikanth will move on to Rana, which is to be directed by KS Ravi Kumar. Eros International will produce Kochadaiyaan.
KS Ravi Kumar will write the story, screenplay and dialogues for this film. Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya will wield the megaphone.

Ajith’s next film with Siruthai director Siva
Siva, the director of Siruthai one of the biggest hits of the year will be doing the Ajith’s next film yet untitled film.
Siva is currently directing a Telugu film whose shooting is progressing in Chennai. After he completes this project, he has plans to start the pre-production work for Ajith’s film.
Ajith’s next film will be for Nagi Reddy’s Vijaya Productions to be produced by his son Venkata Ramana Reddy to mark the occassion of his father’s 100th year

Dam 999 Movie not to be released
Dam 999 was scheduled at the Prasad Lab Studio in Chennai yesterday however due to strong protest show was cancelled. The Dam 999 Movie director has said that once the film is released, the Tamil Nadu government will realize the peril that this dam would cause to the Tamilians and would agree to construct a new dam after demolishing the existing one.
The story revolves around a hundred year old dam and populace living around it. The movie raises the environmental issues that are caused by the construction of dam and how it affects the inhabitants in that area.
The protest against the film was due to the fact that director Sohan Roy has based this film on the controversial Mullai Periyar Dam. Hence many feared that this film will cause the rift with Tamils and keralas
