T20 Champions League Groups and Fixtures Announced
Host India will have three teams in the competition, with Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils joining Bangalore in the lineup.
A total of 23 matches will be played Oct. 8-23 at three venues: Bangalore, New Delhi and Hyderabad.
The 12 teams have been divided into four preliminary groups of three teams each. Two teams from each group will advance to the eight-team round-robin league.
The top four teams will then move into the semifinals, which will be played in New Delhi on Oct. 21 and Hyderabad on Oct. 22. Hyderabad will stage the final on Oct. 23.
Group A: Deccan Chargers (India), Trinidad and Tobago (West Indies) and England No. 2 (to be decided).
Group B: New South Wales Blues (Australia), Diamond Eagles (South Africa) and England No. 1 (to be decided).
Group C: Royal Challengers Bangalore (India), Cape Cobras (South Africa) and Otago Volts (New Zealand).
Group D: Delhi Daredevils (India), Victoria Bushrangers (Australia) and Wayamba (Sri Lanka)
Organizers released the draw Thursday for the the new US$6-million international T20 tournament involving 12 top provincial teams from seven nations. Victoria and New South Wales qualified from Australia, with Cape Cobras and Diamond Eagles from South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago from West Indies, Otago from New Zealand and Wayamba from Sri Lanka.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Cape Cobras in the inaugural match of the Twenty20 Champions League in October.
The two English teams will be decided after the domestic Twenty20 championship ends in August.

The Longest Total Solar Eclipse Of this Century
The longest total solar eclipse this century, Wiil be seen over large areas of India and China. The Total Solar eclipse could first be seen early on Wednesday in eastern India, though in some regions there was thick cloud.
It has been moving east across India, Nepal, Burma, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and the Pacific. The eclipse first became total over India at 0053GMT. It will cross some southern Japanese islands and will last be visible from land at Nikumaroro Island in the South Pacific nation of Kiribati. It will end at 0418GMT. A partial eclipse is visible across much of Asia. The next total solar eclipse will occur on 11 July next year. It will be visible in a narrow corridor over the southern hemisphere, from the southern Pacific Ocean to Argentina.
In India, millions gathered in open spaces from the West coast to the northern plains, with clouds parting in some cities at dawn just before the total eclipse. In India and Nepal, where it is considered auspicious to watch the eclipse while immersed in holy water, crowds gathered at rivers or ponds, including tens of thousands of people at Varanasi on the Ganges.
Some parents in New Delhi kept their children from attending school at breakfast because of a Hindu belief that it is inauspicious to prepare food during an eclipse, while pregnant women were advised to stay inside due to a belief that the eclipse could harm a foetus.
Authorities in China, where an eclipse was a bad omen in ancient culture, have been reassuring the public that services will run normally.
The most recent total eclipse, in August 2008, lasted two minutes and 27 seconds. This one will last six minutes and 39 seconds at its maximum point.

Aadhavan music to be Launched on August 15
Suriya’s much-anticipated Aadhavan will be launched on August 15, 2009 – India’s Independence Day under the Think Music label. The music of Aadhavan is composed by Harris Jayaraj. Aadhavan will be dubbed in Telugu by producer Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banner of Red Giant Movies.
The story is by N.S. Ramesh Khanna. Cinematography is by Ra. Ganesh, the art director is Rajeevan, editing is by Don Max and stunts are by Kanal Kannan. The film is co-produced by M. Senbagamurthy and R. Arjun Dorai.
Aadhavan is directed by renowned K.S. Ravikumar. Aadhavan is a story of a huge joint family. A rich woman (Saroja Devi) has four sons and her oldest son has a daughter, played by Nayantara. Vadivelu plays her cook. Murali (Malayalam actor) and Rahul Dev, plays the villain role. Also in the cast are Pepsi Vijayan, Ramesh Khanna, Sayaji Shinde, Anand Babu and Manobala.
Suriya plays a servant who wants to take revenge on the household but ends up in becoming the owner.
